I want to take this time to reflect and say thank you to a key member of The Cauldron staff that will be stepping down as our leader. On behalf of all the writers, editors, and staff, I want to thank our current editor-in-chief, Nick Camino, who has led this paper for the year.
At the beginning of the year, Nick put down a challenge for all who contributed to this paper, and his vision was seen as a bold step to make The Cauldron a distinguished piece of the published media.
Nick has seen challenges come and go throughout the year. He also had the distinction of being the first-ever editor-in-chief at the Cole Center. He moved us, like Washington, from the old ways, brought light to the paper and has laid the tracks for us to become a successful part of the campus at Cleveland State University.
On a personal note, I want to thank Nick for taking me under his wing, as he has taught me everything about the integrity of sports journalism. As the former sports editor, he has never stopped trying to help me grow and become a better writer and editor. For that, I would like to thank him, and am forever indebted to him.
Finally, I welcome our new leader, Chris Enoch, to Nick's post. I think I speak for everyone when I say we are anxious for him to continue Nick's brilliant work, and we look forward to working for you. But until August - thank you Nick Camino! We will miss you in your big chair in your office, and we hope you contribute your thoughts to our paper and the media of Cleveland.
