While there are some fun tracks, "Muppets: The Green Album" is not nearly ripe enough for a listen.
There are a few high points. The Fray understand the playful feel of "Mahna Mahna" and the fun "Moving Right Along" finds Alkaline Trio strangely optimistic.
My Morning Jacket and Andrew Bird add a feel-good Indie Rock feeling with their respective tracks "Our World" and "Bein' Green."

OK Go's take on "The Muppet Theme Song" is merely serviceable.
Brandon Saller of Atreyu and Billy Martin of Good Charlotte collaborate on "Nightlife": a song so bad even Hinder could do better.
Amy Lee's over-dramatic approach on "Halfway Down the Stairs" seems just as out of place.
Kermit the Frog may be green, but so is money. With Walt Disney Records at the helm, it's obvious which of the two the album is more concerned with.
