U-Pass

I can be used on the bus and the rapid.

So, you had to pay an extra $25 for something called a U-Pass.  It is going to be like that every semester untill you graduate, so you better get used to it.  But in the meantime, you might as well get some use out of that bus pass.

At the beginning of each semester, there are students who will whine and moan about how they had to pay an extra $25 for something they will never even use, but you, my dear freshman reader, will be smarter than that.  Unlike the whiners out there, you will go to the Cashier's Office to pick up that little, silvery sticker.

For some of you, the U-Pass will provide your transportation to and from school by way of buses and trains.  However, not all can be so lucky as to have a bus or rapid stop close to home.

The U-Pass can be a great convenience when you want to do something in Cleveland and are already at CSU.  The RTA can pretty much take you anywhere you want to go in Cleveland, so take advantage of it.  Even just using it a few times takes care of the $25 you paid with the one ride price being over $2, and once you have ridden enough to offset the cost, you essentially get free rides until the end of the semester.

Not to mention how you are saving the environment by not always having to drive.  Although it is not marketed that way, the U-Pass partnership with RTA is just another way that CSU is green.

That silver square can be a ton of free rides or just a little bit of bling on your new Viking Card.
