Snow and Vehicles

Jan. 23: A snow plow hit the door of the CSU Physical Education Building around 5:30 a.m., shattering the glass. No one was injured and no other damages were incurred.

Jan. 23: A faculty member reported slipping on ice in the Central Garage around noon. She struck her left side on the fall, but was able to stand and move afterward, and refused EMS.

Jan. 24: A staff member reported damage to the front driver-side window and head light of their vehicle in the Main Classroom garage around 2 p.m.

 


Weed and Greed
Jan. 24: Police officers were called to Euclid Commons by a resident advisor around 8:30 p.m. The RA was conducting room searches and reported finding three empty alcohol bottles and two multicolored glass pipes with drug residue in a student’s room. The student was cited with possession of drug paraphernalia.

Jan. 25: Two non-CSU affiliated persons reported thefts while at the Art Gallery at CSU. The two victims left their purses in the lounge of the gallery to browse and upon returning discovered that both of their cell phones had been taken from their unattended purses.

Jan. 28: Victims reported that around 4 a.m. they left their vehicle parked and unattended on East 21 Street. The victim returned to find the passenger-side window smashed and some change missing from the center console.

 

Smashing and Bashing
Jan.28: An officer observed a physical altercation at the corner of East 23rd Street and Payne Avenue around 8:40 p.m. A group of women were crowded on the corner about to fight, when the officer exited his vehicle and ordered the crowd to disperse. One of the women indicated that she wanted to file an assault report.

The victim stated that she had been arguing with a girlfriend over a break-up when things got physical, and the victim’s friend struck her with a closed fist on the left side of her face. The officer observed cuts on the victim’s lips on her left side. The victim did not request EMS.

Jan. 24: A staff member reported damage to the front driver-side window and head light of their vehicle in the Main Classroom garage around 2 p.m.
